Development of the psychological support and social integration system for
children and adolescents from migrant families in the Republic of Lithuania.
According to our estimates, about 10 000 children and adolescents from
Ukraine, Russia and Belarus, living in Lithuania right now, do not receive so much needed psychological support. For most of their families emigration was a least-evil solution and their life prospects now look uncertain. Excessive burden on social services and the lack of adaptation mechanisms for this group of children creates many risks both for them and for the Lithuanian and European society as a whole, including in the long term.
