According to the Education Code of the Republic of Moldova, children with special needs, including children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), have the right to education in mainstream educational institutions with special educational conditions and psychological and pedagogical support provided for them. In reality teachers experience serious difficulties in teaching such children and the very idea of inclusive education causes resistance both among teachers and parents. Yet, according to statistics in the Republic
of Moldova, 10.4 thousand children have developmental disabilities, and
all of them need individual state-of-art educational routes.
